What are the Model Requirements?
Female Model Requirements: Age 15-25, Height 5’8”- 6’
Male Model Requirements: Age 16-25, Height 5’11”-6’2”
Can anyone attend the European Model Showcase?
No you must be pre-approved by a participating Director.
Are Passport’s Required?
Passport is required to travel in and out of country. Work Visa’s are NOT required for Showcase.
What is the best Airport to fly into?
Charles De Gaulle, Paris France (CDG)
Is there a shuttle service available in Paris?
www.cometoparis.com or www.parishuttle.com and taxi’s are available to get to and from hotel.
Can I use dollars in France?
France is part of the European Union therefore they use the Euro as their currency. Currency exchange is available at most banks, airport and through France with the exception of holidays. It is recommended that you exchange some money to Euro prior to traveling.
Can I use my credit card in France?
Most businesses in France will accept MasterCard & Visa. If a minor is traveling with a parent credit card they will not be allowed to use it. The credit name must match the name on the Passport.
What type of Phone Service is available?
Phone cards are available for purchase at tobacco shops throughout Paris. Check with your carrier to see if you have international service with your cell phone – if so be sure to add on international plan for calls made while in Europe. Alternate option is to rent a phone for the travel period.
Do I need a special electrical adapter?
European electrical outlets are 220 voltages and you will need a converter if you plan to use ANY US appliance. Since US voltage is 110, a hair curler or blow dryer (without a 220 converter) will go up in smoke within minutes! Note these converters do not apply to laptops, contact your computer company to find out if your laptop needs a special converter.
What wardrobe is appropriate for Paris?
Paris in June is similar to that of the East Coast, can be cool or very hot. Be sure to bring a pair of walking shoes, as many roads and sidewalks are cobblestone and heels are not are appropriate to walk around the city when you are sightseeing.
What wardrobe is appropriate for Showcase?
Each model will be on the runway wearing two outfits; the first is a solid black swimsuit, and the second is a black or white fashion outfit.
Is there special attire for the Dinner Cruise?
Wrapping up the showcase, models and directors board ‘The Bateaux Parisian Dinner Cruise’ which is a spectacular view of Paris from the River Seine and includes a three course meal. Dress is semi formal with females needing a cocktail or full length dress, males are to wear jacket and tie.
